🦾 Due diligence team

Marblism was launched by Ulric Musset, one of our members. During the due diligence, we mostly wanted to understand Technical challenges associated with the project. We therefore invited:

Jérôme brought significant expertise and understanding of the Tech challenges behind Marblism.

👥 Team

Why them?

Apart from their strong Tech and entrepreneurial background, and the fact that they’ve been working closely together for the past 4 years, we believe that it is worth investing on this team for two reasons:

1️⃣ Execution

What they did with Vauban is impressive, what they were able to ship product-wise with Marblism, in a limited amount of time and being just two in the company is even more. They already solved the technical complexity to enable software engineers to build and deploy web apps with AI.

Getting the validation from Jérôme (DD expert) that technological choices were relevant and that the first steps were the right ones convinced us on that first point.

2️⃣ Ability to navigate a complex market

With all the Technological changes and uncertainties around applied AI, we wouldn’t rely on any of the current paradigms (state of the art) to forge a strong opinion around an investment opportunity. However, ****we believe that in this context, winning will rely on the ability to understand and anticipate market changes and incorporate them in the Tech and Business strategy.

Ulric has successfully proven such ability with Vauban in the past. He started Vauban as a crypto platform before successfully pivoting into Fund and SPV management, later making it a $100m success in an SPV market that is falling apart (see Azure, filing for bankruptcy last year).

This is the extra leap of faith that makes us want to get in.

📦 What is Marblism?

Marblism is a software development platform allowing developers to launch web-apps with a single prompt, edit the code with no computer setup required, preview changes in real time and deploy. Marblism aims to drastically reduce the time and financial cost of developing software.

On Marblism, users can:
